Together, we will make every Step count!

Payen are proud to be supporting Noah’s Ark Children’s Hospice for a second year during September 2025.

The journey of Walking 9 to 5

In June 2024, our dedicated team at Payen Limited embarked on an inspiring journey with the launch of Walking 9 to 5 in support of Noah’s Ark Children’s Hospice.  For one week, from Monday to Friday, during the hours of 9am to 5pm, we laced up our shoes and set out with a shared goal: to raise funds by counting every step we took.

Each of us dedicated at least one hour of our working day to see just how far our steps would carry us. By the end of the week, our collective effort had reached an incredible milestone – nearly 1 million steps and 485 miles – united across employees in the UK, Canada, Spain, Greece, Jersey and the USA.

Committed to making a positive impact

The purpose behind Walking 9 to 5 was simple! To support Noah’s Ark Children’s Hospice in their incredible mission to care for children with life-limiting conditions and their families.

We believe in the vital work they do, offering essential care, comfort and joy, ensuring these children experience the best quality of life possible.  With under 40 employees we were proud to have raised £35,318.00 with huge thanks to the generous donations and sponsorship, helping Noah’s Ark to continue their services and reach more families in need.

Elevating our ambition for 2025

We are so thrilled that Noah’s Ark have embraced this challenge and that an official event has now been established nationwide allowing for other companies to get involved.

This year we are setting our sights even higher and we aim to smash last years funds raised! As part of their ‘From That Moment’ campaign every pound raised will be doubled, meaning that together, our support can go even further.

Noah’s Ark Children’s Hospice helps babies, children and young people with life-threatening and life-limiting conditions, and their families, enjoy life and make the most of every day.  If the time comes, they also provide outstanding palliative care for those in need in addition to ensuring that families are well supported through every stage of their journey.

As one of the UK’s leading children’s hospices, Noah’s Ark provides care for over 350 children and their families every year across north and central London as well as Herts Valley.

In 2025/2026, it will cost £7m to run the breadth of Noah’s Ark’s services, from clinical care to fun days out, specialist therapies and bereavement support. With just 20% of charity’s funding coming from the government, Noah’s Ark relies on the generosity of its donors and partners to deliver their life-enhancing care.

Ready, Set, Go!

Payen is looking forward to lacing up for Walking 9 to 5 this September! Last year, we had such a brilliant time as a team – despite working remotely, we all came together for a fun, easy challenge that boosted our health, fitness and overall wellbeing. From morning strolls to lunchtime laps (and even our furry friends trotting alongside us), it was a feel-good way to stay active and connected, whilst raising funds for Noah’s Ark.

This year, Noah’s Ark Children’s Hospice is inviting even more people to join the movement.  Walk over to their page by clicking this link to find out more and get involved.
